Located in the Marovitz Gallery on the first floor of the university library the new exhibit by Kent State’s Special Collections and Archives features publications of Black United Students (BUS). The exhibit presents cover pages from official publications of BUS which include UHURU Magazine, Black Watch, and The Spectrum.

UHURU Magazine takes great pride in its rich history, we appreciate the university’s effort to continue our long-standing legacy and excellence. Continuously bringing innovation, creativity, and culture is one of the magazine’s main principles. Having the voices of marginalized students on Kent State University’s campus displayed in such a tangible manner has been a great honor. We hope to continue being of service and to uplift all.
